Q Music was built by and for working artists. Years of handwritten checks, gigs with no contract, the same questions asked and answered over and over, searching emails and text threads for info and assets, and no one making any effort to standardize or automate the repetitious parts of the job. We built those things because there was a need, not because coding a booking platform was a business plan. Every tool on the platform, from contracts to payouts to covers, was borne out of an actual need on a real gig. And we thought there may be a better way to handle this than paying 20% of your total earnings to a manager.
Beyond the convenience factor, talented artists need access to work. We've dealt with big agencies, and for some bigger artists, they may be needed. But the vast majority of artists don't have those connections, or the time and marketing budget to reach booking decision makers.
Our platform's ultimate goal is to get you access to work while automating the administrative parts that take up time, allowing artists more time to focus on what's important: their art.
